1) I’m new here, where do I begin?

First thing’s first, become a member of Big Green Cart! Registration is quick and easy. Once you’re a member take a look around, browse the categories, or do a search. Visit our How it Works page for a closer look at BGC.

2) How do I become a member?

Registration takes less than a couple of minutes. To register all you need is your name and contact information. Then create a user name and you are officially a member of the Big Green Cart community.

3) How much does it cost to become a member?
Not only is Registration FREE but it also provides you with great features and easy access around the site. Register now!

7) I forgot my username and/or password, how can I retrieve it?
To retrieve your password, browse to the Login page and click the Forgot Password? link

8) What is GOSG?
Green Oh So Green is Big Green Cart’s blog. Not only can you read great reviews of some featured products here at BGC, but you also get news on other green and ecological trends around the world.

9) Where can I file a complaint or suggestion?

10) How can I get my item featured on the front page?
When placing your listing, you will have the opportunity to make your listing a Featured Item for an additional fee. In order to have your item appear on the front page, you must upload a photo in your listing. Featured Items are also given the advantage of being considered for Feature in our Monthly Newsletter, so if you list a Featured Item please let us know if you would like to be considered for the next month's issue!

11) How do I pay for items I want to buy?
Big Green Cart utilizes PayPal as our primary payment method. Be sure to check the Seller's payment preference before bidding on an item.

12) How can I track my shipment?
Once the Seller ships your merchandise they will receive a tracking number from the shipping company they chose. They should then in turn provide you with all the information from the company, including the tracking number which can be used to track your shipment on the shipping company’s website.

13) What is your return policy?
The return policy should be discussed with the seller prior to payment. Please review the Security section of our Terms of Use for more information.

14) How can I retract my bid?
Currently the system does not allow for bid retraction, so please bid carefully!

15) How can I cancel my listing?
To cancel your listing, login to your member account and click My Active Listings, then click the delete icon to remove your listing.

16) What if I receive a product and it doesn’t work?
Our Terms of Service Agreement requires every seller to provide a return policy. Please contact the seller, if you have any issues please contact us.

17) I sold an item but have yet to receive payment, what do I do?
Contact the buyer. If you have further issues contact either PayPal or Google Checkout. If the problem persists contact BGC.

18) How can I donate to one of the charities featured on the site?
Each charity we feature will have a link attached to it to provide you with easy access to their site. We only feature charities that we ourselves would donate to and urge you to do the same. It’s for a great cause!

19) Can I list my item under multiple categories, or do I have to pick one?
You can list your merchandise under as many categories as you’d like. We recommend you limit yourself to one or two in order to make your item easier to find.

20)How do I know if my item is green?
Take a look at our Glossary. Can you describe your product with one of these terms? If yes, you’re item belongs here at Big Green Cart.

21) How do I add my store to Big Green Cart?
Once you have created an account on BGC, you can create a Storefront that you can customize to fit your company's image. If you'd like to list your entire product line, exceeding 10 items or more, please feel free to contact us to discuss Bulk Listing Discounts.

22) How can I advertise on Big Green Cart?
As you can see, we run banner advertisements on the top and right hand side of the BGC's various pages. If you are a truly Green business, we would love to discuss running your advertisement here on BGC. Ad rates are highly affordable, as a part of our effort to support and knit together the Green community; running a banner ad costs only $49.99 per 6 months, or the ultra low rate of $99 for a whole year. More advertising info will be available on the site soon, but until then feel free to send us an email with questions regarding ad sizes, special deals or any other queries you may have.

23) What is the difference between Auctions and Classifieds?
Auctions allow you to set a starting price and allow other Big Green Cart members to bid at an escalating rate for a predetermined amount of time. For classifieds you set an established purchase price.

24) How can I get my logo on the Links page?
Our links page was created to foster a Green directory of businesses that BGC supports. We keep our ad rates as low as possible in order to support this community! Advertisement on our Links page costs just $6.99 per 6 months, or $9.99 for the full year. All you need to do is send us your logo as a button graphic of 125 x 125 pixels, and the URL to which you want your ad directed. If you prefer a particular category on the Links page, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
